Farmer Rockstar #FB048
The Zimmerman family farm is located in south central Pennsylvania near the town of Lebanon. Lebanon is known for bologna and the town’s New Years Eve tradition is to drop a 150-pound bologna at midnight. Mr. Zimmerman is a seasoned farmer having raised dairy cattle for 35 years before switching to chickens for the past 15 years. He truly enjoys working with his chickens. The chickens provide a more flexible work schedule than dairy cows and allow Mr. and Mrs. Zimmerman to travel in between flocks. The chicken house is situated on 50 acres surrounded by pasture and fields of corn and soy beans.
