5 Chicken Sliders for March Madness Munching

When you’re parked in front of the TV for long periods of time, rooting for your favorite team, it’s all about finger food. That’s why the chicken nugget comes in particularly handy–literally. Sure you can pick them up and toss ‘em back on their own, but why not go for the slam-dunk? With these fab five chicken slider recipes on hand you’d be mad not to give ’em a shot.
Clubhouse Chicken Slider: Place a chicken nugget on a toasted slider roll, then top with crisp bacon, a slice of Swiss cheese, sliced roma tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. Dress with mustard and mayo.
Nacho Slider: Melt cheddar cheese on both sides of a slider bun. Fill with a FreeBird chicken nugget topped with guacamole, salsa and nacho rings.
Chicken Sub Slider: Wrap a chicken nugget in a slice of ham. Stack on top of a slider roll with salami, chopped romaine, provolone cheese and chopped pepperoncini. Season with a splash of Italian dressing before serving.
Chicken Cacciatore Slider: Sauté sliced onions and red and green bell peppers until they’re tender and sweet. Pile the mixture on top of a chicken nugget with some mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with some dried oregano and pepper flakes and serve on a toasted slider roll.
Chinese Chicken Salad Sliders: Slice chicken nuggets into a couple of pieces and toss with shredded cabbage, red onion and cilantro. Dress with sesame dressing or a bit of peanut sauce, then scoop onto a slider roll to serve.
