Celebrate Frozen Foods Month with FreeBird

There really is a holiday (or month) for everything these days! So when we found out that March was frozen foods month, we were thrilled to have something to celebrate. The fact is that we have some amazing chicken that hangs out in the freezer just waiting to rock your world, from grilled strips and patties to wings and nuggets. We even have whole grain and gluten free options. Just in case you’re not getting the whole picture, here are some ways that our frozen FreeBird chicken would like to be presented.
Pesto Grilled Chicken Pit-za: Spread your favorite prepared pesto on a whole pita. Top with FreeBird Seasoned Grilled Chicken Breast Strips, feta cheese and chopped roasted peppers. Bake in an oven or toaster oven at 450ºF for about 5-10 minutes until hot and toasty.
Baby BBQ Bites: Heat those Chicken Nuggets you love and prop them on those awesome little slider buns that are appearing at grocery stores everywhere. Then top with a bit of your favorite BBQ sauce and prepared coleslaw. Sprinkle on some cilantro for added freshness. Or check out this video recipe in your home kitchen.
Green Chili Chicken Casserole: Place FreeBird Chicken Patties in a baking pan. Layer with frozen corn, black beans and frozen brown rice (all of which can be purchased in the frozen section too). Pour green salsa or diced green chilies on top and sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese. Bake in a 400ºF until hot and bubbly.
Chicken No Noodle Soup: Sauté some chopped leeks, celery and carrots in a pot. Add some chicken broth and season with chopped dill. Rather than filling up with noodles, slice up some Gluten Free/Soy Free Chicken Patties and stir in to your soup. Heat it through and you’re ready to roll.
Crunchy Chicken Waldorf: Toss FreeBird Baked Popcorn Chicken with Fuji apples, walnuts, celery and butter leaf. Dress with your favorite creamy yogurt or ranch-style dressing and top with some fresh chives.
